Okay, I for sure have one complaint about this. What is with her SHOES?! The action figure Michelle is wearing these hideous clodhoppers, which the real Michelle Obama would never wear (not in public, anyway). What was with that?
Having said that, the Sarah Palin School Girl doll was really horrifying and objectifying. CREEPY.
Okay, two things: first, I should have mentioned in my post that both Michelle and Barack Obama are WAY more attractive in their flesh-and-blood form than in their action figure form. The action figures designed by HeroBuilders.com seem a little like caricatures to me. Second, Michelle’s shoes are clearly a major design flaw. What the heck are those things on her feet? The only excuse I can think of is that super heroes need shoes they can run in?? But, still, a cute sneaker or ballerina flat would have done the trick. Clearly, the people at HeroBuilders are not hooked up to the fashion world.
