Buy Cheap Prozac Online

POSTER_SAFE_LRG Buy cheap prozac online, There is a lot of talk these days in health circles about evidence-based decision-making, i.e. developing policy based on strong research, cheap prozac from canada, Osta prozac, rather than on ideology, "anecdata" or economic expediency, Hawaii HI . Køb discount prozac, Unfortunately, a lot of the talk is just that -- talk, Massachusetts MA Mass. . Acquistare a buon mercato prozac, Take, for example, ordering prozac no rx, Kaufen prozac, some recent Canadian developments in the world of midwifery.

The research into the safety, cheapest prozac in the world, Køb billige prozac, efficacy and cost-effectiveness of midwifery is well established (though you might not know it from the Little House on the Prairie image it still has in popular culture). Researchers have amply demonstrated that babies born with the assistance of midwives (at home, in hospital or a birthing centre) fare just as well as those born to mothers cared for by obstetricians (see this recent study by Eileen Hutton on the study she conducted into midwifery in Ontario), buy cheap prozac online. In fact, buy prozac online cheap, Buy prozac online, among women with low-risk pregnancies, a home birth with a midwife might actually be even safer, Maryland MD Md. . Connecticut CT Conn. , Data collected by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care indicates that women cared for by a midwife are subject to fewer obstetrical interventions, such as C-sections and episiotomies, cheap prozac. New Mexico NM N.Mex. , And the cost. The ministry has itself indicated that midwives save the healthcare system between $800 and $1, ordering prozac online cheap, Buy cheap prozac online, 800 per birth. Buy cheap prozac online, Even though the evidence shows that the outcomes for mama and baby are just as strong for women receiving midwifery care than not, obstacles remain to women who want to be seen by a midwife during their pregnancy. For example, prozac online kaufen, Louisiana LA , availability of fully funded and publicly regulated midwifery services across the country is patchy, and there are three jurisdictions in Canada that don't offer publicly funded, ordering prozac from canada, Cheap prozac no prescription, provincially regulated midwifery at all: the Yukon, New Brunswick and PEI, buy prozac overnight delivery. Purchase prozac online, In New Brunswick, it can cost a woman anywhere from $1, District of Columbia DC D.C. ,500 to $3,000 out of pocket to have a midwife provide care.

Another issue is that the demand for midwives outstrips their numbers--though the growth in the profession over the past few years is considerable. Right now, there are about 500 registered midwives working in Ontario, but this is about 150 more than just a few years ago. (A personal aside: The demand for midwifery care is so intense that, when I told my doctor I was planning on having a baby, she responded, "When you find out you're pregnant, don't phone your husband, don't phone your mom--phone the midwife."), buy cheap prozac online. There are only 6 places in Canada where midwifery education programs are available, but the good news is that the programs are graduating larger numbers of students than ever before.

A third and very significant problem for women seeking midwifery care is the issue of hospital privileges. Obtaining hospital privileges for midwives has proven, in some cases, to be difficult. Take the case of two registered midwives who recently opened a clinic in Orangeville, Ontario. Buy cheap prozac online, After months of providing midwifery services in the community, they still cannot get privileges to practice at a local hospital. This forces women in their care to have to drive 30 - 60 minutes away to get care from a midwife in a hospital setting. The restriction of hospital privileges completely goes against the philosophy of evidence-based decision-making in healthcare.

With fewer and fewer doctors delivering babies, midwives are prepared to step into the breach (no pun intended). But the demonstrated advantages of midwives for the entire healthcare system can only be fully realized with a coordinated effort among provincial health ministries, midwifery working groups and organized patient/consumer groups. Recent developments, such as Ontario's Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care permitting new midwifery registrants to find work immediately upon graduating, is one such positive step. Canadian women need more steps like these to ensure universal, quality maternity care for all.

Mother and baby gorilla by mape_s Buy estradiol valerate, As you are no doubt aware, Mother's Day was on Sunday. Estradiol valerate for sale, I'm a mother, and so our little family did what you're supposed to do on Mother's Day--eat brunch, cheapest estradiol valerate in the world. Ordering estradiol valerate without prescription, How are those two things related. I'm not sure, estradiol valerate sale, Arizona AZ Ariz. , and yet doesn't Mother's Day brunch seem to have cemented in popular culture like Polygrip on dentures.

I'm also completely unsure as to why KFC continues to run those goddamn "Moms Night Off" ads, buy estradiol valerate from canada, South Dakota SD , which seemed to be on TV all the time in the run-up to Mother's Day. First of all, the whole concept is totally sexist, buy estradiol valerate. It's a given in these ads that it's mom who does all the cooking, purchase estradiol valerate. Kopen goedkope estradiol valerate, Somebody alert Ward Cleaver, but that simply isn't the reality in untold numbers of households, New York NY N.Y. . Like, billig estradiol valerate apotek, Kjøpe estradiol valerate, seriously. I see this picture and I start laughing in order to stop myself from hurling, buy estradiol valerate. There's something about the grease content on display here that makes my stomach lurch. Deep-fried chicken with deep-fried potatoes with deep-fried cheese sticks with--what is that?--macaroni salad, some greasy icing-laden cake and, deep in the background, a gesture at a vegetable with some cole slaw. And don't forget about the bowl of thick, sticky brown grease masquerading as gravy. Fuckin' UGH, man. Mom's Night Out. Count me out.

lily_no_smoking_09I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed being so scandalized! Check out Jezebel's coverage of a layout in the latest issue of French Vogue. The photo spread displays, as Jezebel says, a thoroughly ambivalent attitude towards modern motherhood. My jaw dropped and I laughed out loud simultaneously (aw, shit, does that make me a bad mommy?). The text that goes with the pic I've clipped here is high-LARE-ious:
You just know Patrick Demarchelier was snapping away when Carine said, in her smoky French Barbara Walters diction, "Leelee? Now we do somesing a leedle osé. Shoot up widt zee bottul. Pretend shoot up. Peuhfect. Yes."
Oh, god. "Shoot up widt zee bottul." I'm still chuckling. Go look.

still4, from The Business of Being BornYou know that feeling when you're reading the paper and you come across a story that makes you think, "Some researcher got funded to study the obvious? And then come up with findings that are...obvious?" That's the feeling I had when I stumbled across this story from last Friday's Globe and Mail. "A nosh during labour not 'a bad thing,'" reads the headline, referring to the shitty advice old adage advising women against eating during the labour process, 'cause if you have to have a C-section, and if you have to have general anesthetic during a C-section, then you might barf and breathe in the barf and die. *sigh* Then there is common sense: being in labour is akin to sprinting as hard and fast as you can for a minute at a time, every few minutes, for many hours or days. The ol' bod just might need some sustenance to get through that process. But thank goodness the science people have come on side with what birth mothers and midwives already know!
British researchers conducted a large trial involving 2,426 women having their first child. Half of them were told to eat a small amount of food such as bread, biscuits, fruits, non-fat yogurt, isotonic drinks and fruit juice. The others were advised to drink only water and chew on ice chips. The results, published in the British Medical Journal, revealed that the rate of vomiting was almost identical in both groups - about 35 per cent.
The only thing that's really surprising here is that only 35% of women barfed in labour. To me, hurling while trying to squeeze out my daughter seemed pretty routine. Here's the oh-so-shocking closer:
"So, over all, we basically found eating wasn't a bad thing," said senior researcher Andrew Shennan, a professor of obstetrics at King's College London. [...] He added that the study participants who were given the option to eat "felt more in control and certainly liked it."
Gee, you think? I'm happy this research was conducted because it might actually change obstetrical practices for the better. And yes, hospitals, parents and birth attendants need and want the best-quality information about how to make births safe. But come on! You do not need an empirical study to know that having the option to eat during labour makes life a teensy bit better for the labouring woman (and therefore the expectant baby) and does not make the process any less safe. Intuition, basic biological facts (I'm hungry = I need to eat) and anecdotal evidence should suffice.

Dating tips for parents

motheroutlawsteesTwo totally divergent stories about parenthood ran today in the UK's Mirror (not including the one about Madonna adopting another baby from Malawi). The first is an awesome blurb from our main man, William H. Macy. Macy reveals (like my use of tabloid language, there?) that he and wife Felicity Huffman schedule dates and force themselves to actually go on those dates. Says the Mace: "You'd better make a date and take your wife out within a month - whether you want to, or not - and you can't talk about the kid. And you'd better have a romantic weekend within two months because it tears couples apart, these babies do... Felicity and I have been really good about finding time. We'll go away for two days - for one day, even - and we try to do it four, five, six times a year." I believe I speak for parents everywhere when I applaud these two for finding making time to spend together as a couple away from their (no doubt delightful) two children. More pointedly, I applaud Macy for actually coming out and saying, "It tears couples apart, these babies do." I would perhaps have amended that myself to say babies can tear couples apart. But this is a truth that so few people, especially in the public eye, can actually bring themselves to speak (though there are some exceptions). Case in point: when I heard Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were reportedly having marriage trouble (though they deny it), I was all, "Well, hell, yeah, there's marriage trouble! Don't they have a newborn baby?" (yes: ol' Bronx was born in November; IMHO, a couple needs a good six months after a baby arrives before the dust truly settles). Elsewhere on the Mirror is a video of Tina O'Brien, who most of you will not be familiar with as the actor who played Sarah Platt on Coronation Street. Tina is now a mom (sorry, mum), and the video features her and some random mums advising all of you mums out there to cherish the little moments with your wee ones. Okay, it is true that sometimes the most mundane times spent with your baby become the most memorable (like, you wouldn't believe how clapping has become a superawesomefun activity for me and my rugrat). But the cultural saturation point for "parenting is so great!" has exceeded its maximum limits (jumping the shark with this t-shirt company). It's time to start redressing the balance by being honest about parenting and motherhood. Thanks to William H. Macy for doing just that.
Frau mit Kind, German Federal ArchiveYou know we all love a good story about mompreneurs, those smart women who climb their way from dirty diaper obscurity to millionaire status. They develop a product all moms need, they do some clever marketing and voila! They've made it to Oprah (and believe me, when my daughter was born, I looked down at her and thought, "You're gonna be my ticket to meeting Oprah"). Well, it turns out that the reality--at least for some moms--is a bit more dire. The Globe and Mail reported yesterday on some bummer numbers from Statistics Canada. "Highly educated women face a much more severe loss of earning power when they have children compared to mothers with less education," says the Globe. "Mothers who are highly educated earn less than childless women with similar degrees of education." How bad is the disparity? "At age 30, hourly earnings of mothers averaged $15.20 in 2004 compared to $18.10 for childless women." The explanation from StatsCan is that the more highly educated you are, the more specialized your skills. Leaving the work force to go on mat leave means it's hard to catch up when you return to work. But it could be just as likely that when you have kids, you just don't have the same opportunities to be a workaholic as you were when you were child-free. If your highly-educated self were working in a high-paying job, you would no longer be able to stay at work all hours--and this might force you to leave that lucrative position for something with lower pay, fewer benefits and more flexible hours. Does that make you think twice about poking holes in the condoms? Or reaching for the Ph.D.?

Worthy cause

shapeimage_1I just found out about The Motherhood Project, a study being conducted by some grad students in the U.S. They are looking for pregnant women in their second and third trimesters to participate in a brief survey before and after they give birth.
Our IRB approved, multiple-choice survey is about the experience of becoming a mother. Participants will be asked to complete two nearly identical surveys regarding their personal beliefs, practices, feelings and behaviors: once during pregnancy and will be contacted again 4-6 months after giving birth. With your help, we may learn more about the process of becoming a mother and how it may inform a woman’s identity, relationships, spirituality, and mental health.
This sounds like a really worthwhile project, something that will help advance our understanding of the craziness that is becoming a mother.
